Quotes #3 | Going to church doesn’t make you a Christian any more than standing in a garage makes you a car
Author: Billy Sunday
After a couple "off" weeks I'm back with a new Quotes. I got an order from a friend for more then a hundred new stickers with funny quotes on it. I changed the background, font and size from previous design. Since I got many complains how "this sh*t doesn't belong here on DA" I probably won't upload all of them, but I will post a link where you can see them...
New collection: DA: [link] ...more links and quotes will be added soon...
The old "finished" collection DA: [link] Facebook: [link]
About the quotes: 1.) I don't own any of the quotes in my collection (unless it's stated otherwise); 2.) Credit is given if the ORIGINAL author of the quote is known; 3.) Even if they are racist, sexist, etc. there is no offense intended; They are made strictly with entertaining purposes; 4.) I don't own any (copyrights), so you can use them however you want them; 5.) Possibly there are some grammar mistakes and it would be much appreciated, if you notice them, to let me know, so I can fix them asap;
This quote is true, but God does call us to "remember the Sabbath Day and keep it holy". Church is pretty important if God put it in one of the Ten Commandments. I think that Mr. Sunday was just trying to say that a relationship with God is what saves you, not your church attendance record or how good and religious you are.
ah but the Ten Commandments were made for the Hebrews ONLY. a Christian has 2 commandments that are OPEN TO APPLICATION: Love God, love humanity. I've even been told that if you focus on the second commandment, you inadvertently obey the first one.
really as Christians, we are to only apply the red text to heart, and everything else is meant to give an understanding of what GOD is like.
Well, I agree that the red text, the words of Jesus, are to be taken seriously...but, since the entire Bible is God's Word, and since the Bible is the Truth, we need to read it all. Even the begats and begots...at extensive as they can be XD Christians need to follow the Old Testament as much as the New, because it does nothing but point to the coming Messiah found in Jesus Christ. The Ten Commandments are absolutely important, because Jesus Himself quoted them in His messages to witness to the Jews and show them how God fulfilled His promises in His Son sent to earth. I'm not trying to start a Bible flame war, but I need to stress the importance of knowing the truth.
